Using templates more than once?

It would be redundant to copy the templates I'd say. Please let me know if this is possible, so if I edit this one template, both pages will change. In certain cases (e.g. same templates for different siteaccesses, thus in different directories) I have also found convenient to use simlinks in the file system ("ln -s" in unix).

I'm now creating the several templates as override for full.tpl, and I see I can edit them and load the defaults, but I can't really seem to change the file they're pointing to. Unless I'm missing something in your question...
Yes, you can.
