My domain name is hosted by easyparking.co.uk. I can set up a url mask so that when someone accesses my domain they are automatically redirected to my ezPublish website running on my pc. My pc has a broadband connection and the ip address changes every few days and when it does so I update the redirection on easyparking's server. Everything works fine in normal usage although the browser does not give the full path in its title bar, just the domain. However the main problem is when a new user registers. She fills in the form in ..../user/register then clicks the Register button but all the fields end up in the backend as blank. The email is blank and so the new user doesn't receive an email. If the user has instead accessed the site using the explicit IP address this problem does not occur and the new user can register and get confimatory emails etc.. What can be the fundamental difference between accessing the site from a url-masked server and accessing it directly. The url masking uses a frame to fill the browser which gets its content from my pc.
