PDF dynamic : Relation between pdf list & pdf views ?

What is the relation between this, the pdf.ini and my content/view/pdf of a class ? I call "/content/pdf/2038" with "2038" the nodeid of my content : But the downloaded file is named "2038" with no extension at all. How can i setup my own filename ? I really don't get it.
