Checkout Form

Hi all,

Those who have shop module on their site would know that there is a form customer has to fill out when they check out.

How can we customize this form. I know it is userregister.tpl BUT i want to customize it so that i can get the information from it as well.

For example i want to put delivery or pickup option in there. I put the form on it to fill but when it comes to collect the information from it after customer sends it out, i dont get the info..

any help on that ?

I could also use some guidance on this issue if anyone has tackled it before...

Does it require modification of the database?

Hi,

If you want to customize shop user registration page, you will need to add changes to kernel/shop/userregister.php and to template file userregister.tpl as well. You can reuse code from userregister.php. All information are stored as xml format in database.

I had to modify a few more files to complete the information transfer for the new "phone" field that I added.

/kernel/classes/shopaccounthandlers/ezusershopaccounthandler.php (to read info from db after it is written)
/design/admin/templates/shop/accounthandlers/html/ez.tpl (to show new info in the admin order list)
/design/[siteaccess]/templates/shop/accounthandlers/ascii/ez.tpl (to show new info in the order emails)

With that, and the changes the Lukasz recommended, I have successfully added info to the shop account!
