I have been through the tutorial, and one of the things that struck me was that almost all the editing was done through the admin page of the site. So I was just wondering, is this the only way to do it or is it also possible to create a site entirely by scripting files, or is some of the work, like create sections and assign templates to pages, bound to take place through the admin interface of the site? Thank you.

Hi, you can script most of the work, yes.. but then you'll have to know exactly what you want and you would also have to make the script that generates the desired pages/overrides/templates/content/layout, etc. eZ publish is completely open source so you can just take a peek in the kernel code and use the various function calls in your script. However, this will of course require a lot of time and effort 'cause you'll have to learn a lot about the core of eZ publish... Balazs
