I bought 2 ez publish books and I have seen a third book with a friend, 70% of the content of the 3 books are the same, I think if someone write a book with the title "Managing eZ Publish Web Content Management Projects" I think it would be all about "Managing eZ Publish Web Content Management Projects", but it isn't, it has 70% of the content of the book "Learning eZ Publish 3" wich has the same content of the book "eZ Publish Basics". Why so many books with the same content? Is it a backup thing?

Hi Thiago,

The question is - are you just curious or do you require more knowledge?

If it is just out of curiosity - then that's a good question ;) On the other hand, I have up to ten books on PHP - how different are they? Sometimes not really. This only depends on the approach, because if two books are introductionary, they are bound to be similar. However, sometimes books take different approaches, for example practical guides, and there I would expect substantial differences.

If you require more knowledge, though, then there may never be a book that would cover it all. One could compile an encyclopedia-sized publication on application such as eZ Publish. I think there will always be a level that is only reached by few and that's where good documentation comes into play, or projects as this one: http://ezpedia.org/wiki/

Of course, I would really welcome new, more advanced eZ Publish publications ;)

Just my two cents...

Cheers,
Piotrek

Hi Piotrek

What you wrote is really true, I think I have made a mistake. By the way, I will see that site, ezpedia. Thanks for the reply.

Some English language eZ Components book would be something, though... ;)
