Is there a way to batch import large numbers of files, such as XML files? For example, we have all our files on a regular server and would like them in the CMS. Uploading one by is not practical.

Hi Robert, there are extensions that can help you getting started with batch import, I'm thinking of these two in particular:
http://ez.no/developer/contribs/import_export/data_import http://ez.no/developer/contribs/import_export/xmlimport the second one is easier to use than the first one, in my opinion. </Pascal>

Thanks, Andrew

Hi Andrew,
unfortunately, I can't tell, as I haven't tried this on 4.x: our sites are all at 3.9.x. I'm using the http://ez.no/developer/contribs/import_export/xmlimport one. As it is not much complicated to install or uninstall, I would suggest you give it a try or look at its dedicated forum thread to dig further. </Pascal>

Thanks, Pascal! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work, and is failing without telling me why. Guess I'll have to look for another option.
