I have a content type - product - that has a related object as an attribute. The related object should only be of a specific class - provider. All providers reside under a known node. I want to have the edit screen for product display a select/dropdown of the providers and for the user to be able to select from this instead of using the default browse page. The chosen provider should then be saved as the related object. I've had a look at the templates and generated HTML for this attribute type but it seems that the "magic" (saving the related object as an attribute) is done as part of the browse screen. It seems that it is not possible to achieve what I want by simply changing the edit template for the product class. Any ideas?
