Hi,
I'd like users on my site to be able to have their login as their email, and password as their phone numbers. Is this possible?
ie I don't want them to have to verify their password in two seperate fields, and there will be no need for the extra 'login' field in the user account datatype.
Is this easily done or would it be a major hack of kernel/user/register|login.php? If someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dan

I don't think that would be too difficult, although I would think that your users might want something more secure than their phone numbers as their password.
To edit the user accounts, as far as I know you just need to go into Setup >> Classes >> Users [Class Group] >> User [Class]
You can then add/remove any fields you like.
Cheers
Tim

The user class has a special data type called 'User Account' though--which is not edittable in the admin interface as far as I can tell... and if you edit that I'm not sure what will break.
