Webdav on 3.9.3 broken?

We just upgraded to 3.9.3 on our production site and our dev site, both of which are on the same (apache/linux) server. Since upgrading webdav has stopped working properly, and I'd be very interested to find out if anyone else is having similar problems.

Most webdav functionality is still there, you can log on, browse folders, move objects and rename objects. But when you try to drop an image or a PDF into one of the online folders you get an error message (in Windows explorer something informative like 'an error has occurred', in Webdrive an 'error #5') and the operation fails.

The server error logs are not showing anything special.

We have another site on the same apache webserver, but running 3.9.1, which is still running webdav perfectly.

Yes I saw that one, but there are slight differences. Bjarte says he can't open folders, I can, and he's getting error messages in his logs which aren't happening for us.

I can't say it's not related, but it's not exactly the same problem.

- and I should mention: our site doesn't use the website interface.

Maybe I'm asking the wrong question then. Is there anybody out there running 3.9.3 not having a problem with webdav?

For anyone have problems with webdav, we worked out what the problem was.

During the upgrade to 3.9.3 some of the files in our installation had their permissions/owners changed. I'm not sure of the exact details, but the EzPublish didn't have sufficient permissions to create the folder /var/webdav/tmp, which caused webdav uploads to fail without explanation.
