Hi there,
All uploaded files (mainly .pdf and .doc documents) have disappeared from the /var/storage folder. And this twice in a month ! I know i can restore them from my server backup utility, but can someone tell me why this happens. Is there a max size for the /var/storage folder or something else to set ?
In addition, the doc says : <i> "A new subdirectory will be created for every MIME type. For example, if an executable (.exe) file is uploaded, a directory called "application" will be created; if a text file is uploaded then a directory called "text" will be created, and so on. "</i>But in my site, all the files are stored in one subdirectory called "application" !!
I have surely missed something but where ? Thanks for helping please.

Welcome from the future, I'm afraid not to many of us can help out on you eZ Publish 8.0 problems. But if you can give us a copy so we can save 10 years of development, that would be cool :)
3.8.0 ??Could you post an example of a path to one of your images?

Thanks Andre, but i'm not from the future, lol, i meant Ez 3.8.0 of course
Now, i've just finished restoring the whole site (for the 2nd time). I really don't know what may cause this storage folder to be re-created. It now contents exactly 727 files (294 Mb), all in the "application" subdirectory (because it's Word, Excel and Pdf files).
In my SiteIni, the StorageDirPermissions and StorageFilePermissions are set to 0777 and 0666, may be i can set them to 0770 and 0660 as the doc says, but will this change anything to my problem ?
Thanks for any idea.

I don't think it will solve the problem, but upgrading to latest 3.8.x version is probably a more solid bet.
Found this in the 3.8.2 log:- Fixed bug #8628: data loss: entire storage/original dir wiped.

Well, you should upgrade to latest 3.8 version. Upgrades minor versions are quite easy.Just remember to run the upgrade sql statements, as both 3.8.1 and 3.8.5 introduces some improvements to the database indexes.
