Fatal error when adding extensions

Hello,

When I try to add an extension to ezPublish 4.0.0, I encounter the following problem:
after clicking the "Apply changes" button, this error appears:

"Fatal error: eZ Publish did not finish its request

The execution of eZ Publish was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below."

However, there's no debug output shown (even when the "Debug output" is enabled through "Quick settings").

The error also appears when I click the "regenerate autoload arrays" button.
I have installed the ez Components using PEAR, and they appear to be working (I used a test script).
The error occurs even when using a pristine ezPublish installation (without adding custom extensions).

I'm using PHP 5.2.6 and Apache 2.2.9.

Thanks for the fast reply.

We installed the ezComponents version 2007 v2.1, but the error remains. Have you got any other suggestions?

I noticed the same error on two completely different systems, one Gentoo and one system running MacOS X. So I guess it has nothing to do with PHP or Apache configurations (since they're different). The error appears when pressing either of the "Apply changes" or the "Regenerate autoload arrays for extensions" buttons.

I still have the "Fatal error". After checking the php error logfile, I noticed the following:
- before installing ezComponents, an error is logged (ezcFile cannot be found), which seems perfectly logical
- after installation, the above error isn't logged anymore (still logical…), but when clicking the "Apply changes" button, I still get a "Fatal error" shown on the page.

I checked the memory limit: it is at 200M, this should be high enough I think. Are there any other settings I should check?

Hi Arno

Please ensure all necessary debug options are enabled. See "PHP" and "Debug Output" on http://ezpedia.org/wiki/en/ez/debugging. Then try again in the web interface.

If your installation can't find eZ Components, then add them to the PHP include path.
