I got help from a more experinced ez developer. What he did was updating the database manually with phpmyadmin. He said that the updatescript dident run for some reason. Is it possible to check if the database is updated? I dont know what caused the user accounts to be unvalid, but I guess it was the failed database upgrade. There was also problems to get correct persmissions on the new files because they where FTPed over from my mac. I think this is the wrong way to place the files. Generally I think the upgrade description must be more rigid/precise, maybe with contra examples to kill the most obvious misunderstandings. E.g «use door A. Do not use door B». I had also problems running the upgrade scripts beacause the scripts like modfix couldent be run of security reasons. Even if this is a specialiced ez host. The site is stil not published. So downtime was no big deal - but the many houres could be use to produce content or cut costs. Thanks for replying Andrew. Attn EZ team. Looks like this post is doubled
