Retrieve view mode of a node ???

How can i retrieve something that seems very simple : the view mode in which a node is shown ?

For exemple node 54 is in line, full, embed in a certain place ?

I can't find any variable holding this information.

I believe in the pagelayout you've got:

{$module_result.content_info.viewmode}
