When using the keyword datatype it seems as the comma separated words are case sensitive. Car, CAR and car is not the same word. Is there an obvious reason for this that I'm missing?

Do you mean that doing a search on this attribute won't find the words variants ?

I also notice that keword datatype is case sensitive, for example tag clouds created from these tags/keywords include words as different depending of the text case.
But in the case of the search engine (using ezfind) it's not case sensitive. For default search engine I have to check it, but I think it's also not case sensitive.
But no idea what's the reason for this...

There is no problem with searching and case sensivity.
But
{$node.object.data_map.keyword.content.related_nodes}
is case sensitive...
