Hi,

What happens if several people edit the same article at the same time and then send the result.

Scenario:
Editor 1 loads editing form for article A
Editor 2 loads editing form for article A
Editor 1 goes away and drinks a coffe.
Editor 2 edits the article and saves it.
Editor 1 comes back, edits the article and saves it.

Which version will now be active in the database? Or does the article get a lock when somebody edits it? Or does someone get a error message?

Thanks for answers,

Kai

They will get one draft each. So they will be working on two different unpublished versions. The last published draft will be the current visible version.

The objects are not locked, it's legal to have n drafts of the same object. In 3.1 we've added a warning page where you will see which people is currently editing the current object.

If you get an error message you will not be able to publish and hence the last published will be a valid object.
