Debug filters out variable reference errors

I discovered some code in lib/ezutils/classes/ezdebug.php function eZDebugErrorHandler (added on trunk in rev. rev. 12364):

if ( preg_match( "/variable(.*?)reference/", $errstr ) )
    return;

Is it good practice to silently discard these messages? I don't think so.

Very true Kristof,

It's probably their way of saying...

Stop reporting all those reference errors :P

Hi

The development crew here at eZ use Xdebug, so we see these warnings/errors anyway.

However, I do agree we should show these warnings in the future, but it should be introduced in a major release, for example 3.9. If we fix this in a stable3.8 sub release, alot of people will get warnings they don't know where come from.
